A recipe on a Sunday.

Hey my loves!

I bet you think I forgot about you! Ha, I didn't! For tonight, I am going to post you up a recipe. The recipe I'm going to post for you, Chicken & Dumplins! Technically, dumplings... But being that I'm a southern gal, I say dumplins!

Ingredients:

2 (Cans) Cream of Chicken Soup

4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast

2 (Cans) Butter Biscuits [I know I know, I cheat on those! But, you can make your own!]

4 Chicken bouillon cubes (for every piece of chicken, add another cube)

Directions:

1. Put your chicken into a pot of water (roughly 8 cups).

2. Add the bouillon cubes into the same pot with the chicken.

3. Boil the chicken until it gets done, I'd say about 45 minutes or so. (I eyeball it)

4. In the meantime while your chicken is boiling, cut up your biscuits. You can do them however small you want the dumplings to be. I just chop until I get 8 pieces from one biscuit.

5. Continue to skim out the white stuff from the chicken, that comes to the surface as it boils.

6. When the chicken is done, take it out of the pot, and let it cool.

7. Stir your cans of cream of chicken soup, into the broth.

8. Then, put the dumplins into the pot of broth, and stir gently. (you don't want to make the dumplins sticky and tear them)

8. Keep an eye on your dumplins as they cook, they tend to boil quickly, and spill over. I normally reduce my heat to med-lo while the dumplins are cooking.

9. Shred the chicken to your liking, and add it to the soupy mixture.

10. Let the soup cook for approximately 30-45 minutes, or until done. (the dumplins will be firm)

** Add salt & pepper to your liking.

The image above is just an example of what they're supposed to look like. Yours may not look exactly like this. But, I promise you, if you follow the above directions... Oh my stars! It is soooooooo delicious. There is never any left when I make it! It also goes good with homemade cornbread. Heck, any cornbread in my opinion!

Let me know how you guys like it!! I'm excited to hear about it. I love you all!

Remember, you are beautiful. God loves you. I love you.
